National Fund for Workforce Solutions Launches with Expanded Mission
The National Fund for Workforce Solutions has launched with an expanded mission and mandate focused on driving practices, policies, and investments that enable workers to succeed in good jobs.
Central Iowa Works is one of more than 30 regional collaboratives bringing together diverse partners to help individuals develop new skills and access a good job, at the same time assisting businesses in need of trained employees.
We are excited to showcase our successes and affiliation as part of a national network that has served more than 78,000 workers, supported 2,300 employers, and generated $285 million in local investments.
These regional successes are the heart of the National Fund’s network, mission and national accomplishments, which have included raising public and business support for high-quality training and education for both job seekers and workers.
Beyond designing career pathways in high-growth industries and serving target populations, the National Fund strives to improve workforce, business and education systems by organizing employers and aligning educational curriculum with high-demand skills.
In addition to serving diverse populations that include young adults and the formerly incarcerated, we are as equally committed to drawing greater public attention to workforce, labor and poverty issues.
A major emphasis is on providing employers with a skilled workforce, and building more prosperous communities.
